Before we get into the steps, it’s important to know the difference between Patta, Chitta, and Adangal. Some people think they’re all the same, but they’re not. Patta is kept at a special office called the taluka level office. Inside Patta, there are lots of numbers. Each Patta number has a bunch of survey numbers. These numbers together show all the land someone owns.

Chitta gives you all the info about the land someone owns. On the other hand, Adangal tells you detailed stuff about a specific piece of land, a survey number, or even just one plot of land. To sum it up, Patta and Chitta tell you about who owns the land, while Adangal gives you the full knowledge about the land itself.
